Samsung Unveils the New Galaxy K Zoom

This is what I've been waiting for. I HATE taking pics with my phone. Hopefully this would make it more enjoyable.
The only negative I can think of is the slow f/3.1-6.3 lens. But I guess you can't have everything,

Agreed! They're almost encroching on Pentax territory with that name. Even the stylized "K" in the Samsung advertisement looks like a variant of the stylized "K" on Pentax's modern dslrs.

Between the stylized "K", and the "K" designation being associated with a photographic product, Ricoh should have an easy time taking Samsung to court over trademark infringement. Companies have gone to court for less.

Well, Samsung have already tried selling K-mounts,
and it didn't really work out for them, did it?

Indeed, that's why I'm surprised at them coming up with something different (or is it? I vaguely recall someone else coming up with a zoom lens built into a phone, although it might have just been a concept design).

Samsung had previously released a zoom-lens smartphone, but LG did it first.

Apple 3GS meets Sony RX100 with a nod to Pentax branding.

Why copy from one competitor when you can hit three in a row?
