Recently we saw a fawn out at the edge of our ‘forest’ area - then a doe got him/her to move back amongst the trees. It occurred to me that the fawn was eating where the sun shines, so the ivy grows better there. We seldom see deer at this time of year, but that is only because the leaves hide them …. that is, unless they go after “the good stuff”.

While peering at treetops this morning I saw what I initially thought was a nest - then I realized it was the underside of a squirrel.

A ground squirrel striking an "Oh my goodness!" posture, or maybe it's just cleaning a dirty nose.

Usually, a squirrel will allow his tail to hang while eating at the feeder, but for some reason, this one kept his tail up
