I'm here! Nope, it won't get my $600. The OVF is wonderful in very bright sunlight and I doubt the EVF will be anywhere close to being as clear or as fast as genuine real time viewing through the OVF. Same sensor, so what is the gain in IQ? The body, though similar lacks the same fine looks as the X10/X20...something is just missing in eye appeal for me.
The Real Deal!
If you are looking for a small camera at a bargain price, the X10 is the best around. Check out the shots from this PF poster (
Jacquot) and you will find some excellent work done with the X10. I have both the X10 and X20 and am on record here many times saying the X10 delivers more pleasing photos than the X20...and no doubt will beat the X30 too. There is some real Magic in the X10 EXR sensor that is just not there in the X20, and won't be in the X30.
The X10 is rock solid in your hands, has an OVF that lets you see in ANY light, and is as fast as "real time"...
because it is real time! For around $400 you can have a small camera that you will fall in love with and enjoy for many years with its superb build quality and very pleasing results.
With the X30 you can pay more and get less....if Fuji thinks this is innovative thinking, they lost me in their thought process.
Look around over here and you will find some amazing X10 work among the thousands of shots you can view.....Junk is in the mix, as with any camera, but you can bet the really fine shots are better than any the X30 will produce. Get your X10 while you can still find one, you will not regret it!

This was the brides favorite shot .....and it was shot with my X10 by Mrs Rupert...the first day she had used it. Just set it on EXR and go!
More of my X10 shots...some good, some junk, I post it all!

Wonderful little camera, and more fun than a box full of squirrels!
