Wow, that's ridiculous. Nice one, Sony. Thank god _eventually_ this tech will trickle down to Pentax, but that will take a while. Sony will try to milk it for themselves as long as they possibly can.

Their signal processing is pretty poor, though. Nikon and Pentax have made better use of the Sony sensors than Sony themselves.
