Uh, no thanks it's a Sony.
The only thing they do well are sensors and then it takes Pentax to implement them properly.

Don't really understand your point? it is a Sony camera, not Pentax.

Pentax users only use FF-compatible, manual-focus lenses, silly. Didn't you know?

Well what advantage in the market place does Pentax offer now? SR? Video? AF? small size? full-frame? "weather sealing"? all their niches are eroded as they are just too small and slow to act.

Sony has had FF cameras with IBIS before, and guess what? They didn't sell!

What a stupid thread title

My sentiments as well. All it has to say on the badge is "Sony", and I'll pass. I've been burned by that
company too many times in the past and have sworn them off for good. I know they make "You know
you want it" products, but much more, I know that when it comes to supporting those same products,
their general policy is "Sorry about that, but LOOK, we have something new and we know you want
it. Why don't you just buy another product and not worry about that little broken thing."

Pentax will survive for another day.

Ergonomics. Predictability. Backward compatibility. Colors

Maybe I am being dense but I just do not understand what this post is about. Why would Sony releasing a camera make me not buy a Pentax? Or Canon or Nikon for that matter? Seems as if Sony or someone releases a new camera every week. Sorry, not trying to be argumentative, I just don't understand what Sony making yet another camera has to do with Pentax.

I get Ayoh's point, though - I think there if the status quo is maintained, there will be some defectors and perhaps a few folks who would have considered Pentax will go for the Sony.

I'll wait until after CP+ before I begin the "Pentax is Doobed" talk.

Every new camera that is released by Pentax or any other manufacturer prompts the PID comments.
But they are still here

Sony a-holes give you a hard time for taking a photo of their building. So, here it is.
