Pentax FA 31mm limited on Sony A7

I have write a post on Pentax FA 31MM on Full frame SOny A7.

I was very tempted to get this when it was on sale a few days ago. But after finding Zeiss will be selling the Loxia 35/2 that's designed for sensors, I decided not to ... you should do a comparison when you have both :-)

Eisenheim, thank you for your impressions. Although I cannot speak/read French, your test was quite helpful. The images speak for themselves.
Looks like a very nice lens on the A7, but I’m not sure if I would buy this lens only for one of the Sony FF cameras (same price as the Voigtländer 35mm f1.2 as an example).

I have not the loxia but my new test for the Biogon ZM 35mm F2 is here :

I saw a test that was the comparison between the FA 31MM limited and voigtlander 35Mm F1.2. The FA 31MM is considered best but the aprture is smaller

Nice shots and thanks for sharing; interesting that Zeiss said that the Loxia will correct lenses designed for films that are fuzzy/distorted in the corners when use with digital sensors, but all the shots generally look fine except maybe the second before the last shows fuzziness. Did you notice any obvious image problems at the corners (other than vignetting)?
