I like the Portra films for people, Denis. And that is a fine example. I have trouble with Portra 400 with my setup for some reason. I cannot get the purple out of the blacks during the scan. I don't have a scanning profile for that film either. But I have had better luck with the New Portra 160 in that regard. Go figure.

But to keep this party going, another 500C/M file getting an upgrade. Early morning at Ruby Beach, WA. Zeiss CB 60/3.5, NDX8 Filter, 100ACR, 90 seconds

Thanks.

I'll make note that the stock focus screen that came with my 500C/M was not very good. It was hard to focus. I upgraded to an Acute-Matte D with a split screen and much improved. It's a bit brighter and objects seem to pop in/out of focus that much better. Whereas, the stock screen I'd hunt back and forth too much trying to determine focus. So if you find yourself doing that perhaps a new screen can help. The down side is they are way too expensive.

An older shot from 1982 I scanned in.

Camera was some sort of Yashica TLR - probably a "D". Now, I've got the TLR disease. Great.

Thanks DenisG.

It was shot on Kodacolor II (6014). Didn't remember of course, but looked at the negatives.

Wandering around Sydney with the 1953 vintage 2x3 "Baby" Graflex, using the Graftar f/4.5 103mm

This is the first time I have used Porta 160.
The Pentax MX with the Pentax-K 1:2 55mm was used for metering,
and I took a 2 rolls with it too.

I've used Portra 160 for other than people pictures too. And I liked it for still life and other things.

Yes, I think the old sandstone around Sydney is treated well by the Portra.
Actually my favorite is Fuji 160ns but it not available anywhere, as far as I search
So I just ordered some Fuji Pro400H from B&H.

The Fuji 160ns is still listed on Fuji website.

This is another medium format camera in my little collection. I decided not to take it on air travel, so I use it locally.
Here used at 2014 Back-to-Bricks in Flint.
It is a home built elementary box camera with a SMC Takumar 6x7 1:2.8 90mm LS lens (from about 1969) and a RH10 120 Rollfilm back (1950's).
The Honeywell Pentax 3/21 spot meter is from about 1963 I think. It still has original quite interesting optics, CdS cell and meter.
I have replaced the electronics board and it now takes a modern 9V battery.

The film is Ektar 100, home processed in Rollei C41 and scanned on a PF120Pro.

Going through older photos the past while. Came across this old scan from my Rolleiflex 2.8D (Xenotar) taken Oct 02, 2010. Ektar 100 does well for landscapes. Seriously downsized so this is just an impression of the photo rather than the real thing. - Jack
