Pedestrian though they might be, as a teenager, they were the cameras I hoped I could one day afford.

There's two on my list. The first of course is a black Asahi SPII. I have the Honeywell version and I would not part with it for love or money but the Asahi one is admittedly the holy grail of Spotties for me. The second is the Exakta Varex IIA. I just love it and want one to play with so badly but they're kind of expensive if they are in decent shape so for now it's just a pipe dream. You? I'm just curious. This is a page with the Exaktas and it shows most of them. I think they're pretty darned gorgeous, most of them. Apparently I'm not the only one though, sigh...

A fascinating read of the Exacta series. A few years ago, I had never heard of these. How is it that these once leading manufacturers allowed themselves to be put out of business?

Use to lust after the F2A in the days I couldn't afford one. That changed...now I'm as happy as a baby in a barrel full of titties.

Well the two I really lusted after I've already either owned (LX) or currently own (M2), so beyond them, I'd say a Hassleblad 501CM AND Plaubel Makina 67

It would be an 8x10 Deardorff Field, came so close many times to picking one up but something told me the "garage" already has a 4x5 and 8x10 Toyos
