the woman who fostered in Texas has 5 dogs, I am sure her husband laid down the law no more just foster as she would have loved to keep this one apparently. we thought we might be able to foster, and perhaps if we had a dog already we may have been able to. we took this route because we were not sure we were ready after Blu passing. this dog was very surprising for a rescue. quiet, super affectionate, no issue with other animals (though squirrels get her attention she just looks and moves on) she is adapting to a big noisy busy urban core very well for a dog that has been in a rural home fro 3 months
