Thanks , some excellent shots there , I kinda like that lens , it’s more like an oldie look to the images , at least seems so to me .
Have you tried their 27mm autofocus lens ?

First shoot with the Viltrox

I've had a busy weekend. Yesterday and today we built me a new computer. I'm still getting things set up, so no photos yet but....
I had my first portrait shoot with the 75mm today.
It was grand. In fact it was the nicest experience I've had in the studio with a camera.
I had set up a custom routine for portraits, so things like eye focus were turned on automatically, and I have one button set to shift between left and right eyes.
The X-T5/Viltrox combination performed almost flawlessly. The camera found the subject's eye almost every time, and the very few times it didn't, it found the face.
Where there were tow or more subjects, I just had to focus lock for a moment while I re aimed the camera to put the focus point on the desired eye, and it stuck there.
It was glorious.
Pictures to follow.

This was shot today with the X-T5 and Viltrox 75/1.2 at f4.
The light was from a single beauty dish.

Another from yesterday's shoot.
Again, the X-T5 with the 75mm at f2.8

I think I like this one even better with less contrast in the shadows

Thank you. I just noted some problems with the second one, the Adobe software has some quirks with a few of the filters.

Huh, that's a surprising lens, produces a very unique look. Can I assume you didn't apply any contrast adjustments? it's a stark look, similar to an old film render IMO, and one I'd wager makes for great black and whites.

I did not, or any more than I normally would....

I love the stark look and just assumed it was due to the lens being a macro - I use it for a lot a product/beauty shots...
