How long did it take you and Photoshop to create that environment?

About 2 minutes, most of which was waiting for Photoshop.

Open image in Photoshop, select subject, select inverse, click edit/ generative fill, enter construction site in the dialog box that opens and click generate.
The software generates 3 backgrounds that match the criteria entered. If you like one, choose it, otherwise choose the one you like best and click generate and 3 more backgrounds pop up. There doesn't appear to be a limit on the number of times this can be repeated.
Pick the image you like best and there you go.
This is all done via cloud processing, so a lot of the time spent will be dependant on how fast your internet connection is as the image is uploaded to an Adobe server for generation and then download back into Photoshop.

This is in the Beta version of Photoshop, and sometimes the results are wonky, sometimes they are just plain bad, but when it works, it works well. I've noticed that over the past couple of weeks the image generation has improved a lot, so it is definitely a work in progress as they refine the algorithm, readying it for final release.

I just last night downloaded the beta, so I haven't had a chance yet to give it a spin. Based on what I've already seen from others it's darn impressive considering it's in its infancy. IMO it's opening a can of worms tho, and lessening the value of good photography skills and gear, but I don't see the rush to AI image generation slowing.

Commercial images will come from a text input, and become common in advertising and promotion within a year, two at most. It will be less expensive, faster to accomplish, easily correctable if the client wants it, and far more adaptive for specifics with less time and effort.

For my own pleasure I'll still use a camera taking photos of real scenes, but we are going to lose the paid camera work. If you are a current pro relying on what comes from your camera, you better learn the ins-and-outs of image generation because that's where your trade is going. You cannot compete with your camera images alone.

Sorry for the thread distraction, but when you brought it up it seemed like a good time to expand on it. You should start a separate thread to discuss image generation, since it's going to have a big impact on the camera industry.

Very nice. I like the way the flowers seem to 'hang' without any visible means of support.

Looks like a '68 Mercury pickup...going by side markers, as '67 models didn't have them and there were no '69 Merc trucks produced.
Canadian market only.

My dad and uncle went into business in '68 and needed a work truck. They bought new, a '68 Mercury M 250...3/4 ton...with the 300 cube, inline six cylinder Ford truck engine and 3 on the tree.

One of the last of the Mercury trucks made, as Mercury shut down the production line think in March 1968.

I recall driving it on occasion. That big six had a low of low end torque.

Great pix...of a fine truck.
