Big Fuji news coming

It's worth noting that Fujifilm has a big announcement scheduled tomorrow, expected to include a revised X-Pro 2.

I put my M 85mm f/2 lens on my X-M1 this morning and got these two. Passed them to my phone with wifi & PP'ed them a little in VSCO. These were both taken at f/4.

Bought my wife a 2nd hand XM-1 as something for her to play with, she keeps mentioning she would like to try some photography but would never part with her money! We bought it body only so she can use my lenses.... when I'm not using them.... but will pick her up a 16-50mm when one comes around at a decent price! I had a little play with my 18mm and 35mm.

I like the way the inbuilt flash can be bounced if needed, but I was a bit disappointed it didn't have all the film sims, I would have thought the more consumer version would have had all the film sims, O'well it should be good for her to play about with!

Cheers, Steve

Very nice indeed. I've read good things about the Fuji kit 16-50, it seems to be a step up on virtually any other similar lens from other manufacturers. Must be nice to have those extra couple of mm at the wide end too.

Here are a couple with the M 100mm f/2.8 on Fuji X-M1. This lens gets very little use and I only had it with me because I was meeting a guy to sell him my M 28/2.8 and hoped to tempt him with the 100mm too. Since I got the 85/2 a few years back the 100 has barely been used.

The tilting screen of the Fuji allows sneaky people shots without them realising they're being photographed. First shot was wide open and second at f/4.

Nice photos, love that first one, and the light and composition in the second. That sign would have very different inferences in French and English. Made me smile. I have an X-M1 on the way, can't wait to try out Pentax and C/Y lenses on it.

Many thanks. The X-M1 is a great camera for using old manual lenses on. Focusing is pretty easy (press the rear scroll wheel down to zoom in to the centre), image quality is fantastic and the tilting screen is very useful.

The thing that annoys me most is having to go into the menu every time I change the focal length of the lens I'm using. I end up with a lot of shots in which the EXIF has the focal length wrong.

Cross posted from the "Toy camera" tread.

Big day in Cornwall today, it is St Piran's day, he is the Patron Saint of Cornwall and there is celebrations across Cornwall. My Daughter had a dance performance at one of the biggest parades in Redruth in the centre of Cornwall. They have a big parade so took a few snaps with my X30.

One of the chaps in the parade.

We are very patriotic to Cornwall and have a separate identity of England.

There is a lot of music, food and drink....

A bagpiper infront of the miners monument. Redruth was big in the Tin/Copper mining circles.

That will do for the minute, got a few I was quite pleased with for a change...

Cheers, Steve
