Next month the xH2s begins getting to customers and in September the "basic" H2(40mp) is announced.
Both will be extraordinary cameras and worth the price to those who need the speeeeeed,RESolution and advanced video features.
But,what of the people just looking for a good Fuji camera to start with?
There are cheeeeep first/2nd gen bodies that sell for U$ 100-300 that are quite good in producing nice images @ 16mp.
Stepping up a bit in price though is the UglyDucking of Fuji...X-H1,it currently goes for around 800 bucks but with the early adopter crew having the choice of the two new bodies, the 800 is likely to shrink to 5-600ish.Probably include a battery grip as the FIREsale price of 999 included the grip and the 2 extra batteries.
The H1 is around the size of a K3,a bit lighter, same resolution, sensor stabilised but the screen tilts in landscape & portrait mode.Battery life is only half or less of a K3.A 3.69million EVF is very nice.Shoots fast enough for most and does 4K video just with the body, add the grip and the full video capability comes alive.A nice touch sensitive screen with plenty of film simulations including the great Eterna which was a Film stock designed for movies in the good old days.
When the price drops, it will be a very bang for buck way of trying a reasonably advanced Fuji.
Here's Hugh(waffling) about it, start at 3-4mins is best.
