I think we have established that a CPC is a Cosmicar which is a Pentax. Here we have a CPC Phase 2 28/2.8 Macro in Nikon mount, complete with aperture-setting ears, adapted to a Fujifilm X-T20. It's an SMC Takumar by no means, but it is close focusing. One of those lenses that now and then you get a shot and think, "wow, I like it".

A 53 year old tower climber replacing the lamps on our 350' microwave tower. That is of course after he had a cigarette first. Taken with the Fuji X-H1 and the Pentax A 400mm f5.6 at f11 NO cropping. So how much does a tower climber get paid an hour you ask? $40 bucks......

He climbed 3 of our towers the same day to replace all of the O.B.'s and top beacons.

THE cheep way to shoot Fuji

Some people like to have the latest and greatest, some dont.

Its 10 years since the first gen of Fuji ILC mirrorless started and back then they cost a lot.

I'm not so sure they were great value new though,Dslrs were better cameras back then.

Fuji, broke the mold by making film like cameras with a digital twist.

The first gen was pretty slow in AF,still is even though some firmware helped along the way.

For anyone who is interested, the fist gen still produces nice images and it won't cost anything near the gen 5 powerhouses.

Hers a recent YT that may interest.

My first Fuji camera was the X-T1. I still have it and won't let it go

Yes,the first Fuji is special.

Mine was an X-E1 and since then(2016 and around 150 U$),I've invested in plenty of used and a few new bits of gear.

My first was the X-M1. I've considered selling it but I'd get so little for it that it's really not worth the bother, I'd rather have it as a backup or for when I need a digital camera that's as small as possible or where there's risk involved.

A few recent ones with the X-E2 and TTArtisan 35mm f/1.4 combo. As surfar mentioned, these older cameras are still worth an outlay nowadays. I’m really enjoying the X-E2, with some excellent tonality out of its SOOC B&W shots. I even have it set up as Single-Shot mode and EVF only, so it’s almost like a modern film camera.

I think these second generation X-mount cameras are at the sweet spot for price, usability and image quality when bought used. You get a LOT of camera for the money.

Especially when you consider I only paid £170... for the camera AND the TTArtisan lens.

X-H1 with the Pentax A 100mm F4 macro.... The Fuji XF 80mm F2.8 macro currently lists for $1,199 on BHphotovideo. I'm wondering if this lens is 18 times better than my $64.41 cent Pentax 100mm F4 macro. Will it make me a better photographer?
