I wish that TT Artisans would do their own 25mm f1.8 (or 1.4...) with a clicked aperture ring for X-mount. My Sigma 24 EX DG isn't bad at all but it's quite a large package with a mount adapter included. This is assuming that they'd do one up to the standard of their other lenses and a clear step above the existing low cost 25's out there already.
YMMV but, as long as the ring isn't too loose, an un-clicked aperture ring is not as bad as I originally expected it to be. Clicked is better of course, but it's not a show-stopper for me, after all, some lenses still don't have any aperture ring on them at all

I think the big difference would be needing to look at the unclicked ring where a clicked can be manipulated through the feedback provided by the click. It isn't that unclicked isn't usable, it's that it is much more disjointed to not have that feedback.

I don't have any lenses with unclicked rings so it might not be that bad.

I have one lens with a non-clicking aperture ring: Laowa 33/0.95

it's a great lens, but I have to remember to occasionally look at the aperture ring to verify it's where it should be....

have you tried the TTArtisan 23/1.4??

aperture ring has nice clicks, lens is sharp & colorful & tiny & cheap!!
Hmmm....clicking aperture. I'm in. I've got a Pergear El cheapo lens for $47 but the aperture does not click. It takes lovely photo's but I really miss that "click".

I had opportunity to take out the voigtlander 21 mm lens yesterday. the weather was grim, cloudy, and ready to drip - but it hadnt started. As I left work for the garage - I decided to take out the camera and test the glass. I found it a smooth lens - but I was having a challenge telling whether it was in focus or not. I need to learn a different method of focusing - as my eyes just don't work so well on the view-finder. Especially after a day of focusing on monitors - focusing seemed more guessing than being able to tell from what I was seeing on the camera itself. Finally, I was doing some master-mind guessing on what distances I was from the object and setting the lens that way. (HAHAH...) I admit it - I need to get my eyes checked for glasses.

Looking at the pics, the next day - I'm grateful that more were in focus, than not. only 3 out of the dozen were not worth moving off the card.

Yeah, I do that, but to be honest I've nudged the aperture ring more often on my 35/1.4, which clicks but doesn't have much resistance.

Taken with the Super-Multi-Coated TAKUMAR/Super-Takumar 135mm F2.5 (6 element) and X-H1. I believe this one was at f4.

I am a fan of Voigtlander lenses. I had a more difficult challenge to focus with the 21 mm. - The 75 mm is a fun shooting lens with the xpro3.

I'm debating whether I should order another Automatic style lens for my Fuji body. - My current system is one 14 mm fuji lens - and adapters to play with voigtlanders, 21, 50 and 75 mms.
