DXOmark have tested the Tokina 24-70 F2.8 on Nikon

It does quite well, especially on sharpness stopped down.

Would be a nice alternative if brought out on K-mount, but wouldn't add much to the D FA 24-70.

What DxOMark doesn't show is the very unpleasant tendency of the lens to flare all over the place. Stuff you usually can't clean up at all with lens corrections or post-processing.
