I have a little Olympus stylus, I got for about 6 bucks at a thrift store mainly because the circuitry in my old Casio seems to be dying. It fits in a pocket; my K10D and K110D don't. It's weather resistant; none of my slr lenses are. I'm not afraid to break it, drop it, take it into the barnyard.... If I want to go out to try to take really good pictures, I don't take the little Olympus stylus, but it does take a picture.

In mid-snowfall I took it out yesterday. Did you ever want to know how much snow you could pile on a clothes line?

The photo of the wave is done with the 2006 Oly SW 720 stylus....7.1mp...those old things have to use the special storage cards though...I think mines 1/4 of a GB!....and that was a lot at the time( for this camera brand)

surfar, I hadn't realized you were referring to your avatar picture earlier. Thanks for the suggestion of entering the snow picture in that contest. I would be tempted to do some post-processing on it were I to do that. It was kind of a test of the Stylus's Snow-n-Beach auto picture setting, which I suspect is optimized for sunny snow scenes, leaving my cloudy-mid-snowstorm images a bit bluish, but still it's an interesting picture.
