Yup, terrible score at resellerratings.com, no manufacturer warranty.
They have an A+ rating with the BBB based on 3 reviews...1 positive and 2 negative

This eBay offer seems legit, the seller having a 100% rating. Just under $1450 for their supposed sports flagship, and with free shipping tossed in.

Sure. I think the DA 16-85 in general has better reviews and performance, but of course is a bigger lens too. Still cheaper than the Zeiss zoom.
One pays for small.

However, back to the original point about market loss, the performance difference between any of these lenses would not be important to the segment affected here, but the size is. After the 18-135 dust up, I'm not sure how much I care about reviews any more, but that is another story.

It is also a reason why companies wed to the DSLR will have trouble. Carry around a Sony E-mount with a 16-70/4 attached and compare it to a Pentax DSLR with DA 17-70/4. More and more enthusiasts like myself are questioning the need for a mirror on a high-quality travel camera. The DSLR is far from dead, but a segment of the DSLR market is headed for trouble.
I hear you.
My Oly E-M10 (0.75 lbs) and my K5 at 2.25 lbs both with kit lens.
A shot with the Oly at 560mm - I'm satisfied. The Oly is my main walkaround as well as with my bird glass.
