A somewhat very slightly related but different story about the 500 series: around 40 yrs ago I went to work for EMI Medical (they developed the original CT scanners!) in Hayes in London, and came across a motorised (battery electric motor IIRC) version in the cupboard - I wanted to use it for work purposes, and "lusted" after it (!), but no-one seemed to know anything about it or how it got there. Got laid off a couple of years later, and so I still wonder what happened to it?

Very nice story, thanks for the link. I enjoyed the subtle Star Wars reference in the story.

Good story thanks for sharing. While I like my 500C/M a lot, it is not the perfect camera for me. I have to 2 other medium format cameras I use for other styles of shooting that medium.
