Fungus on Prime

I was looking at a Zeiss 50mm 1.4 lens today, and wonder if it is worth the low price. It's a bit beat up, with some nicks on the body, and a few small scratches on the glass. It also has a little fungus on the front, around the rim. Being a prime, it must be easy to take apart a clean, but will the cleaning remove the fungus?

If the fungus is on an outer surface, cleaning will remove it although there may be a faint ghost of the fungal tracery where it damaged the coating and the surface is a bit more reflective.

If the "fungus" is really deterioration or delamination of the cement between two elements, then the repair involves a bit more work to fully separate the elements, remove the old cement, and recement them.
