For a little bit more a GX80/85 has inbody stabilisation and a viewfinder.Only 16mp.
I would gladly take the GX85 over the Yi, but I don't have the money. I've wanted to get into Micro Four Thirds since having the LX100. The GX85 seems like the interchangeable lens equivalent of the LX100. But I don't have any MFT glass and I love to shoot at night, so I'd need something fast.
The Yi M1 goes for about 370USD with two lenses, one of them being pretty fast. I read some tests of the glass, and while I can't really wrap my head around the tech, it looked as though both kit lenses were quite sharp.
So, I could get the Yi now and get a GX85 body when tax returns come back. I'd have some glass to start out with, and I could keep the Yi as a backup.
The Yi doesn't have an EVF, and that sucks but I can deal with it. I got my start in photography late in life by using the smartphone so it's not that alien to me.
