The new BlackMagic looks like they went to whole "Retro 90's/early 2000's Digital camera" look.

Well Fuji has already done the 60s, BM had to differentiate themselves.

What is interesting is the price.U$1295 which includes a PP software package(retails for 299).So,essentially the camera competes directly with GH5s at 40% of the price.Not sure if it will technically be as good,apparently there were some glitches with other BM stuff.I suppose its a wait and see?

That shows that there is no need of large expensive sensor (but better than mobile phone) to create some cool factor
Offering a video oriented camera with video post-processing package, and at an affordable price seems to be a great idea.

A recent leak has hinted that Panasonic will release a body designated G90 that competes directly with the Blackmagic.Pricewise and same sensor apparently.Photokina will show it,but announcement is same day as Nikon Mirrorless FF,so look in the tiny obscure parts of the internet!
