Hard to justify paying extra for the P4 Pro now that the MP2 Pro is out.
I would disagree for the following reasons:
The 2 year old P4P is arguably a better camera than the M2P... I'm spending $1500 on a high-end consumer drone, I'm more worried about image quality and function than how portable it is.
Yes the M2P is MUCH more portable than the P4P, but I'm not looking for a $1500 drone to toss in my backpack. These aren't the point-and-shoots of the drone world.
There are other options for that.
I will say the specs of the M2P, like flight time additional 1 minute, cheaper batteries, operating at lower temps, etc. These are desirable.
But for a 2-year old P4P, there are huge improvements than could be made that would likely exceed the M2P simply because you have more space to work with internally.
When the M2P was announced I thought I was going to sell my P4P and buy one on release. But after seeing footage comparing the two, I don't think the M2P is at the image quality to justify the swap.
Maybe in another year or two, but the P4P larger internals will always allow for better components and capability compared to the compact sibling.
Also, 4k 60fps... and Cinema 4k...
But maybe the mass market feels different.
