Fujifilm XT-3 @ Photokina the Apsc A9.

Yes, Xtrans 4 sensor
26mp/BSI
New processor
20fps
4K video
New battery grip(so XT2 wont fit)
WR standard like XH-1(better than XT2)
No IBIS

No idea of pricing at this stage.

Looks like there are more non-Pentax news than Pentax news on Pentax forum these days. I'm guessing Adam may sometimes get nervous about Pentax :-)

RI keep their stuff closely guarded...the leaks on this camera and others have been steady for quite a few months now.

The GFX-50R is still not very "outed" yet,but its a PhotoKina announcement too(maybe a touch before).

I'm expecting something new from RI next month...They love giving surprises.

Well, hows 30fps stills sound?...its a 1.25x crop.(16mp)

The pricing on the body is less(rumour) than the XT-2 was on release.

Video specs include much updated over the XT-2 as well.

Anticipated price of XT-3 is looking like $1499.

Video specs 4K with 10bit 4.2.2 internal recording, this may fire a missile in the Mirrorless WAR!

This is a deal breaker for me. I'd rather plop a few extra hundred more for a D500 if I'm going IBIS-less.

The lack of IBIS is especially peculiar because they have it on the X-H1. They have the technology. They're just doing frustrating product segmentation.

I doubt you can have image stabilization on the sensor at 20 fps. Better just to have your camera on a monopod there.

^ Yes. When conditions are bright & you're using high shutter speed to capture something, IBIS is basically useless.

But when you're trying to shoot a low light scene with an unstabilized lens & want to use a low ISO hand held, you're screwed. Gotta resort to higher ISO & higher shutter speed or carry some kind of monopod/tripod with you. Then it all becomes bulky.

The Sony A9 has IBIS. It might not be much use at 20fps but I doubt anyone who bought the A9 shoots exclusively at 20fps.

The XH-2 will bring IBIS and Xtrans 4 with all these features and more...it may be a while to wait though.

Even though the Nikon is a classic, its dated and still pricey(quite a few hundred above what the Xt-3 will ship at).

Well, not really...they made the bigger XH-1 to accomodate the IBIS(and some other stuff). When asked about IBIS in future smaller bodies the answer was they couldnt fit it in.

This XT-3 body must have changed slightly because the XT-2 grip wont fit it.As they develop features they get passed( mostly) to their lower tier cameras.

I don't know the layout of the xt bodies but I don't really buy that excuse. Both the olympus omd em10 mk2/3 and the sony a6500 have IBIS and are smaller bodies than the fuji bodies.

I know that's what fuji said, I just don't think they're being honest.

Thats what i think...So i'll tell you why i think that.

A fair while ago some of their client base requested an IBIS camera.Their reaction was " Ibis isnt possible with Xtrans sensor"...and that was true at that stage of their development....Further along the development path they made IBIS work with the Xtrans3(its not quite as good as some others).

Now,the development of Xtrans 4 was paramount in their progression and the first body is the XT-3...IBIS may occur after further development.

Just because IBIS can work with one sensor doesnt automatically mean it goes on the next body at release. It wasnt included with the XT-100 which is a recent release.XT2 doesnt have IBIS but theres many many devotees of that body so the upgraders wont worry too much.

Fuji users that require IBIS have bought H-1,i'm waiting for H-2.

From what ive seen,Fuji are the company who listens to their customers the most. They cant do the impossible but what they do is high quality.

Call me a Fanboy, yes,but not of Fuji....i'm a fan boy of quality that fits my needs.
