The hardware spec seems strange. No one else out there has a 26MP APS-C.
Almost Samsung NX (28MP APS-C) sensor strange.

An APS-C sensor cut from the new BSI Medium Format 150MP FF sensor (or 100 MP crop) from Sony would end up at approx 26MP.
It seems logical that they would use same tech for many different sensor sizes. FF sensor would end up at around 60MP.

So it could be a new generation BSI APS-C sensor from Sony.

A big improvement for video. A great option for the hybrid shooter in my opinion.

Looks like a nice camera. Fuji have evolved it very well.

Took them a while though, but they kept at it.
A lot more likeable than any current Sony APS-C.

The $$$ony A7000 will be announced next week i think,its quite good...stacked sensor is about all i can remember....hinted @ U$ 1299,but that could be wrong(the Eos R was hinted at 1900).

Ive watched and read a fair bit about this Fuji, some are saying " camera of the year"...others "D500 killer"...theres a few glitches that people have thrown up but Firmware always comes with Fuji. They announced a 8-16 f2.8 and the 200mm f2 as well.Making 30 bits of glass with AF and the 2 cine lenses. As you said "they kept at it"...plenty of variety at different price points,so cater for most people.

It is a bit dissapointing that Fuji cameras become heavier. X-T1 was 440g, X-T2 507g, X-T3 is 539g. Sony a7III is 650 - very close.

AS the stuff they pack in evolves, weight can become a factor. Its still lighter compared to DSLR,even though the little ones will be similar.

Its only a touch heavier than XT2,but does lots more and costs less(thanks to $$$ony setting the FF mark at 2K)

If you want lighter, there are a few XE3,XT20,XT100.

The biggest negative with Fuji is the lack of upgrade path and no, having medium format isn't an upgrade path, since it take completely different lenses and you can't mount lenses from an XT series camera on the GFX cameras.

If you decide that you want full frame, you have to go with a different brand. Otherwise, their lens selection is good (if expensive -- I wonder how much that 200mmf2 will be?), their cameras are full featured and seem to be reasonably priced. The whole X Trans thing is a bit silly. It turns out it doesn't do much except make it harder for third party companies to post process Fuji images -- interesting that they didn't go with it on their medium format cameras, if it really is so great.
