Page Six: Pentax not invited to Canon Mirrorless Party? 😭

pentax didn't get invited to "ring" in the new year with canon--the popular shoten™ adapter hasn't included either of the pentax legacy systems on the list... literally everyone else got invited!!

I shouldn't worry. Given the popularity of vintage K-mount glass with Sony mirrorless users, it won't be long before adapters appear

Oh, and I've moved this to the Non-Pentax forum, as it's primarily about Canon's EOS R system

idk, i thought it was pertinent to pentax lenses, it is to me at least... where else are you going to put them besides on an adapter... there is no negativity bias here whatsoever.

So what? Does that keep us from using our Pentax lenses on our Pentax cameras?

Well, there's a simple solution for EOS R users:

Pentax M42 or PK -> Canon EF adapter combined with EF -> EOS R adapter.

Job done

Sadly, this means there'll be even more demand for vintage Pentax glass...

I use my Pentax lenses on my new Pentax KP.
I am very positive about it.

Given that quite a number of Canon users are responsible for butchering Pentax lenses to adapt them to their DSLRs, an adapter for the new EOS R mount might be considered redundant.

Hopefully they won’t make one. Leave those wonderful vintage Pentax lenses for Pentax cameras.
