I am a little baffled! There seems to be all kinds of mounts for Sony Alpha series cameras except for M42 type1 mounts. Yes, there is type1 and type2 in M42 mounts, according to Fotodiox, as in the attached image from their site.
This may be from their site, but it is still misleading.
They show three types of mount.
v1 {left} is supposedly for "Zenit", "Mir", and "Peleng"
v1 {center} is supposedly for "Pentax Takumar", "Super Takumar", and "Carl Zeiss M42"
v2 {right} is supposedly for "Pentacon", "Tomoika Cosina", "Spiratone Plura", and "Aus Jena"
The photo below shows two lenses - both fit their v2 photo - aperture pin depresses all the way down and no tab - but on the face, the one on the left is labeled "Super-Takumar 1:1.4/50" and the one on the right is labeled "Super-Takumar 1:2/35".
In actual fact, their V1 {center} applies only to later Takumars, which were built for later Spotmatics, which used the tab to enable wide open metering, just as K-mount does; earlier Spotmatics metered in the stopped-down position.
