Can you recommend a mirrorless system?

I have been interested in a small digital mirrorless camera for portability and hoping to make used of my Auto 110 lenses. Had considered the Q system (and still am) but the prices for a Q7 have me wondering if there is similar, non Pentax system which might be cheaper..... Fuji, Sony, Olympus, Nikon etc.

I have seen some of these older options on sale on Craigslist with a lens for the same price as a Q10 body only.
I’d like at least 10-12 MP, more if possible. Price hopefully low $100s with a lens and the ability to accept an adapter for Pentax lenses.

Not ruling out a Q, just seeing what the options are. Thanks

You could look for a used Micro 4/3 or E-mount body (old NEX 5 or NEX 3 should be cheap) and then add an Auto-110 adapter? There seem to be plenty of 110/E-mount adapters out there on eBay.

E-mount also has lots of cheap adapters for K-mount too, so maybe E-mount gear is the best direction to focus your searches on..

4/3 is the sensor format that will correspond to your Pentax Auto 110 lenses (APS-C is bigger), therefore you might consider a micro 4/3 camera (Olympus, Panasonic or Yi).

I would second the Micro 4/3. The Panasonic GF-1 is an excellent body, and available for around $60 on the big auction site. Also, the Olympus Pen series can be had for low dollars and are very good, too.

I'd defintely say Micro 4/3 as well. Can't go wrong with either Olympus or Panasonic.

If you're going with older gear, the Panasonic bodies used the same UC-E6 connector as Pentax until recently (GX80/85 and later). Older Olympus bodies use a different one (Cb-usb8).

Fuji X-e1 or Olympus EM5....both a can be had for around U$ 150.

Olympus is stabilised and weather sealedx(but 110 lenses are. not).

Fuji has the film simulations.

Both are 16mp.

I have used the Panasonic G3 for some years, it is quite good, small, light. 16Mpixel, no stabilization, it can be found used for less than 100 US$.

Gx1 Panasonic is cheap but lacks a viewfinder without an add on adapter. Also non stabilized, but excellent controls and features.

M4/3 is a great system for what you need. Both Olympus and Panasonic make great equipment.

Micro 4/3 seems like a good way to go for Auto 110 glass. No shortage of bodies to choose from.

APS-C is also doable. Someone posted about using Auto 110 lenses on a Fujifilm body a few weeks ago. Unfortunately I can't find the thread right now. The right clues for the site search seem to elude me. I tried looking at my own posts, but with the recent raffle madness there are hundreds of them!

I would go the Fujifilm route. The XE1 or XE2 are quite affordable these days. Most of all, once you have tried the mirrorless Koolaid, you might like it. From where I am sitting, APS-C beats M4/3 by a long way.

The new Nikon z-50 apsc body is tiny. However I haven't seen anyone trying to use the Auto 110 lenses yet.

Thanks for the recommendations. Some great options. The Fuji mentioned 2 posts up seem very appealing, but there aren't many XE-1 on Ebay currently and prices for XE-2 are more than I was intending to pay (for a secondary digital camera).
Similarly, the Panasonic GF-1 seems cheap for the body, but to add a lens, the price jumps quite a bit.
The Sony Nex5 seems like the right combination of price, availability and features.

I don't want to get into collecting a whole other line of lenses, but I did want to get the camera with at least one "kit" lens for those times when you don't want to manual focus.

I'll keep an eye on the inventory on Ebay to figure out what the going rate is for these. Maybe I'll come across a Q10 for the right price too.
