Everything is possible, there is just no market. Even if 200 people will immediately say, they want to buy such thing. Pentax has no interest, Sony has no interest and other mounts sell better.

You may try stacking autofocus Techart Leica M to Sony adapter with generic Pentax K to Leica M adapter. Should work.

Not impossible ... just very expensive.


First thing you've got to do is translate Sony lens control protocol to Pentax (and vice-versa), then decide whether to include screw-focus or not, you'll need to make mechanical provision with a motor etc. if you decide to go that route. If you decide to include self-focussing lenses only you're immediately limiting yourself to newer (read more expensive) lenses, thereby limiting your potential market just to those with access to those lenses!


At the end of the day, if you already own or have got access to Pentax lenses it'd probably be easier or even cheaper to buy a Pentax body to use them on

There isn't even an adapter between KAF or KAF2 or KAF3 or even KAF4 and Q-mount that allows AF!!
