How do you find that particular 40-150, particularly at the longer end?
I dont own it, only have the 14-150.Its ok but its a back up lens for me.I use the 75-300 for most of my telephoto stuff.

I own the 14-150 purely for its WR.

Quick update to this. I've got the e m5iii now with the 12-40 F2.8 pro. With the new 40-150 F4 pro about to be released, I'll probably hang on for that as it's size is precisely why I've gone M43. Initial reviews look good but I'll just wait for a few more to filter out.

I'm probably going to purchase an E-M5 III in the future and keep things relatively minimalist in terms of lens choices. I'm thinking of just a couple of zooms. My initial thoughts were two Zuiko pro lenses the 12-40 and 40-150 F2.8 pro, which would nicely cover the range I want. The 40-150 is a relatively large lens though and the idea of a two lens combo is I'd always have it with me and not leave one behind on space grounds.

So I was also looking at the Panasonic lenses, namely the 12-35 and the 35-100 F2.8 which look a nice combo but leave me a bit short on the longer end. I also read that some of the Olympus features such as focus stacking don't work with the Panasonic lenses.

I must admit I favour the Zuiko lenses and I read that there might be a F4 version of the 40-150 coming later this year which would probably be more the size I want.

I just wondered what the thoughts of those with M43 experience might be, in particular whether that 40-150 is a bit big or whether there's a similar performance Panasonic option I've overlooked.
I don’t think I could resist a 12-100 or 12-200 for the versatility with this camera body.

The 12-100 is quite big for m5 iii. I had a look at one in the shop and the 12-200 isn't weatherproof. I did have a good long look at both those options though.

I am now complete. The 40-150 arrived today. I was going to wait for the price to drop but I potentially need it next week. It's a little taller than 12-40, a little slimmer and a bit lighter. The zoom ring feels a little loose compared to the 12-40 and there's a slight rock and audible click. I wonder if this is the result of the fact it's a collapsing lens mechanism. I shall enquire with Olympus as the shop I bought it off didn't know. I shall post any pictures in the M43 thread.

So the 12-40, 40-150 and the Dji Mini SE in the background is now my photograpy kit. A brave new world for me.

And Olympus said, yes, the movement is normal and due to the collapsing design. Impressively quick response from them.

Olympus? Or OM? I’m still a little confused about what to call them.

I suppose it's OM System now. Mentally it's still Olympus to me. The new lens says OM system, the other lens and the E m5III still say Olympus. I think I'll continue to say Olympus until someone says, 'who?' to me.

Funnily enough the product portal for warranty etc is still called 'MyOlympus' so the rebranding is far from done.

Thanks. That’s part of what I was asking. I wondered what they were calling the group that supported the product line. It’s a bit confusing honestly.
