Lenses that fit Pentax DSLRs

I guess my question is the reverse of the forum title.
That is, can you post what other camera lenses SUCCESSFULLY work on the Pentax DSLRs?
I know about the Richo problem ones but am looking for posters who have used other
camera maker's lenses with or without problems - Yashica, Mamia, whatever.
I guess most of the lenses would be in the screw mount and non-automatic anything but let's
see what you folks come up with.

Non pentax cameras

I use a Chinon 75-150 Zoom. Manual only, came off an old (25 years ago) Chinon film camera I used to use. Works well, pentax bayonet fixing.

Hey TomK,

This forum is better suited to your question:
Pentax SLR Lens Discussion - PentaxForums.com
To answer your question in a more general sense:
  • Almost all K-bayonet mount lenses
  • Almost all M42 screw mount lenses
The total list runs into the thousands of compatible models. In other words, it is easier to list the very few exceptions (probably less than 50 lenses total represented by a small handful of brands).

Steve

Chinom CP-7m here - still use it. Use the old lenses on my K-10.

I have the Chinon 50mm F1.4 and a Ricoh 50mm F1.7 and use them on my K20D frequently. There is no problem about the pin being too long and hitting the mirror.

I also use a Polar 135mm f2.8 and a Hoya 135mm F2.8 on the K20D.

I have collected a number of Chinon and Ricoh SLRs as a collection of their good quality SLRs which have now disappeared as Chinon is now part of Kodak Japan and Ricoh only makes Digi PnSs.

Nikkor lenses.

Pre-AI lenses work best. AI/AI-S lenses mount but not as easy/solid.

Of course no auto anything, and you have to stop down the lens manually. But that's better than screwmount lenses (no need for an adapter).

Below is my K10D and Nikkor-P 105mm 1:2.5. I'm also using a Nikkor-H.C 85mm 1:1.8 and a Nikkor-O 35mm 1:2. I have some others but don't use them on Pentax DSLR because I also have their K-mount counterparts.

Note: Do not attempt to mount a Nikkor lens on a Pentax film body or on a teleconverter. The aperture linkage lever on the body or on the TC may be damaged.

I have one of those that I bought new. It actually has better features than the P3n has.

With Leitax conversion, we can even look at Leica R and Contax Zeiss C/Y. These just add more kick to the already top Pentax primes.
