LEICA D-LUX 4

Anyone on this forum has Leica D-Lux 4 as a vacation camera? I'm thinking about it as a replacement for DSLR on vacation and business trips due to big and heavy equipment.. how do they compare to Pentax DSLR in terms of IQ ?? Thanks

This is not a DSLR or Pentax, so off brand would be a better place.

That Leica is the same camera with slight software differences as a Panasonic DMC-LX3 which is much cheaper. It should be amongst the very best P&S cameras - with the newer Canon S90.

Agreed, P&S category or Off Brand category for this.

I am a serious Pentax user and use the dlux-3 and d lux-4 as my "every day" camera. It's always with me. I love my Pentaxes and their fantastic lenses and I am in love with my small Leica's. When I can carry a bag I use a Pentax (and several lenses), when I want a camera in my pocket I use a Leica. Better pictures? Choose for yourself:
Leica and
Pentax
