Pentax K mount to Canon XSi

Hello everyone, I am new here so sorry if this is a nub question.

I have a pentax K1000 that I used for years and loved. Last year I bought at Canon XSi and was wondering if there is an adapter I can use so that I can use my pentax compatible lenses, macro, telephoto exec.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Onique

first I'm going to move this to the correct forum.

Second you will be burned at the stake here, if you cut up a Limited lens to do this.
There are adapters but I'll leave this to those that know more about the mods that need to be done to the lens.

Sorry about that, I mean no disrespect to the members of this forum. It did say "Friendly Pentax Discussion Community"

What is the appropriate form for this question?

Thanks!

there is a Forum called "off brand" this thread is there now. A lot more members here can help you. Absolutely no offense. That's why I put the smiley face.

Yes, there are adapters to use Pentax K mount lenses on Canon. Since you have an EF-S mount you shouldn't have to hack anything up, just stick the adapter on the lens and go to town...

Note that if your Pentax lens lacks an aperture ring you won't be able to control the aperture. And of course, everything will be manual focus and stop down metering.

Here's a Pentax glass to Eos aps-c mount adapter link for you...

Here's a Pentax glass to Eos aps-c mount adapter link for you...

Well made, brass, great seller that I know thru many transactions over the years:

Pk K lens to Canon EOS adapter 450d 30d 400d 40d 5d 20D - eBay (item 110315369606 end time Apr-14-10 18:32:30 PDT)

No problems using Pentax glass on your aps-c canon dslr. You cannot use pentax glass on full frame or aps-h without clipping off the lens aperture lever and protector shield. These lever & shield clutter up the mirror box on larger format canon cameras. You rebel is fine due to it's smaller mirror

thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. I have/had no intention of hacking up my lenses as I still use my k1000 and wouldn't hurt it for the world. Fully manual is fine, my k1000 is a fully manual rock via 1976.
