Edit: I just tried to fool the s400 into scanning my 120 negs. No luck...Oh well!

I did hear of someone in the Fuji MF land who had disconnected the cathode light circuit somehow (think he managed to match the resistivity of the light with something to fool the scanner to prevent bottom light. I'll try and find the reference - it was a while ago).

Edit: Sorry, no go. Although there were a few tests run by Doug Fisher @ betterscanning.com who managed to "trick" the scanner into scanning image sizes greater than 645 on the 4490.
Good scanning with the new 4990. I'll be interested to see how you go.
