I bought the cutest little FF camera today

Sorry for the lousy pic's, but I just had to get this little 1950’s Braun camera when I saw it at Value Village for $15.00

On this pic, that small round hole on the left is the view finder. The small round hole on the right is a primitive meter.

Believe it or not, that's a screwoff interchangable lens.

It's a 45mm f2.8.

Everything seems to work on it, however from the looks of the roll of film inside there’s a good chance it hasn’t been used in decades. So it’s a little tight at the moment.
When I send my Spotmatic into Eric sometime soon I might see if he's interested in giving it a light overhaul. I think that it could use a good lube job, and that's about it.

We actually have one a little newer than it, and in nicer shape in the lab where I work that I've been thinking of buying. However the shutter on it hangs up, plus there's no price.
If Eric does work on this one, and is interested I might still buy it and send it in.

Nice Find

I'll have to visit this forum more often. The camera is neat. The little round hole for viewing is interesting. How does it "view" when looking through it... is the subject magnified?

Nifty camera. I guess all "full frame" cameras back in the day, didn't all have big bright viewfinders!

That is a very small camera, I have a friend that uses one and there is barely enough room in there for film.

There's still a roll inside? I might be interesting to have it processed! Nice camera

Yup.

Here's the manual for it.

Um, no. And this is the off- brand forum...

The mount is probably M39.

Neat! Looks like a fun camera to take with you on a day trip. People will stop to have their photo taken by that camera!

It's a fixed lens camera, of course...

Several of the Paxettes actually had interchangeable lenses.

Oh, that *is* a cutie. Look at that transitional thumb-crank on the wind knob.

It may actually not need an overhaul, if there are no seals that have degraded, and the shutter still runs. Simplicity has its advantages.
