id definately go for the 14-24mm f2.8 if $$ arent too much of an issue. TBH if i was to feel the urge to go full frame, i would go nikon purely for this lens!

other than that, id recommend cutting the DA 35 from Pentax, and Sigma 100-300, and 50mm f1.8 from Nikon.

also keen to hear your thoughts on the GF1/20mm combo, the more i think about it the more i want 1 of these micro 4/3 cameras with a lil fast prime
I understand the urge on all of those, but I'll never ditch the DA35 (possibly my favorite lens of all time and incredibly versatile), and the Sigma 100-300/4 is very useful to me for motorcycle racing. The 70-200/2.8 isn't quite long enough, and doesn't perform spectacularly well with TC's. The 50/1.8 is so cheap (<$90) that I can't see the point in getting rid of it (quite handy at times, too, and very sharp from wide open, if not the best bokeh).

The GF1 is been a wonderful piece of kit so far for me. Whenever I don't feel like bringing a heavy setup with me, and don't mind not having super wide or super long reach, it does the job quite ably. I've been posting a lot of my results over on the mirrorlessforums here.

How about getting rid of the 16-35 f4 and getting the Nikkor 17-35 f2.8 instead of the 14-24? The 17-35 can at least take filters and 17 is pretty wide on FF!

Have you considered the 85 1.8D? $399 @ B&H. Very good lens, especially at that price.

As am I. My Nikon zoom lineup does not contain a Nikon lens! (My primes are all Nikon, though.)

Tokina 12-24 4 (DX)
Tamron 17-50 2.8 (DX)
Tamron 28-75 2.8 (DX/FX)
Sigma 50-150 2.8 (DX)
Sigma 100-300 4 (DX/FX)

I love my K20D, but I'm waiting too.

.
Thanks - we seem to be on the same page here. I have gone the same route as you have - Nikon primes (50 1.4D, 180 2.8D) and Tamron zooms (17-35, 28-75, 28-300 vr). I am looking for the full frame Nikon equivalent of my Pentax DALtd 70mm (a wonderful lens!) - that would be the 105 VR 2.8... I sometimes feel 85 is too short on the full frame. Only wish the 105VR came at f2 or f1.8.

Regards

FA 31mm f/1.8 Ltd.
DA 35mm f/2.8 Ltd. Macro
FA 43mm f/1.9 Ltd.
A 50mm f/1.2
Helios-44K-4 58mm f/2
FA 77mm f/1.8 Ltd.

On the Pentax side I plan to pick up the DA 21 and 40 Ltds after I sell the Tamron.
As one who own way too much lenses myself, I'll give give a bit of tough love regarding your lineup

Why keep the Helios 44K? It's not really fast, it's not very practical (green button only), and it's not that much longer than the 50mm ? The 50 1.2 and the 77 1.8 would probably be the lenses you'll grab anyway?

There is also the question of the 35 macro. If you use it for macro, fine, otherwise I would guess the 31ltd would do the job perfectly.

I wouldn't bother with the DA40 if I already had (and liked) the FA43. I went for the DA40 myself as I didn't feel too comfortable with the oof rendering of the 43 wide open, but can't see the point in having both. One of them is bound to become a dust collecting item.

The 21 is a nice thing to have though. Great for general shots without screaming "wideangle" to the viewer.

I actually responded on these already upthread. Anyway, the two are among my most-loved all-time and there's no way I'll be getting rid of them.
