Rangefinder camera repairs?

I have several nice 35mm fixed-lens rangefinder camera that require CLA.

I have received numerous repair shop quotes averaging $75 each.
I don't want to spend that much on these cameras.
I am not able to do these repairs myself.
I am looking for someone who will charge less.
A competent amateur hobbyist repairer would be fine.

Can anyone out there can recommend someone?

TIA,
Chris

$75 is a good price. I've been quoted $100-$125 on my Canon GIII QL17.

Until recently a I paid around $25 to fix similar cameras. Unfortunately that servicer no longer does them.
I will find someone to service them for $50 or less each, or they will remain as they are.

talk to Ken Ruth of Bald Mountain Photography (baldmtn.com), and if any of them are Yashicas, talk to Russ at Camerarefurb.com.

I agree about the $75 estimate. Usually you can expect $100+ if anything needs to be done at all. What make/models are your cameras. It may be that you can do the work yourself. There are instructions online for many of the more common models. OTOH, just looking at the instructions is often enough to drive most of us into the arms of a qualified technician.
