I woke up early this past Saturday to go to the financial district downtown as I knew the huge fog cover would provide some pretty neat images..

Intersection at Yonge & Wellington.. eerily empty @ 8am.

The Dark Tower vs. The Tower of Light.

There's actually 4 large towers, one on each corner of the intersection.. but I like how this photo of the 3 turned out more than the one I have of the 4.

WOW. Good instinct, great, dramatic captures.

We also had a slight mist this morning, so I took the same shot I took with the DA 15ltd the previous morning - not as dramatic as yours, but:

.
ISO 1250 1/50s f/5.6

(BTW, below is the DA 15ltd version, in B&W)

That Sigma has been my biggest revelation of the last year or so (aside from maybe the Panny 20/1.7. Just stellar glass, and the D700 sensor really makes it sing.

Your bike racing shots are proof of that. That one image I commented on before is as good as any I've seen from that genre. I was reminded again today how quickly this lens locks focus, a very fun combo, perfect for your racing shooting I'd imagine.

Yep, it's amazingly quick for a third-party lens.

Thanks Duh_Vinci.. I've actually ended up printing a few of the tower shots as 12x18s and framing them. I'm pretty impressed myself haha!
