Great shots everyone, I particulalry like Axl's "On The Beach" shot...

My Neighbour breeds Cockatiels and two escaped a couple of days ago. Unfortunately one of them ended up as an evening meal for an Australian Hobby:
K-5 & DA*55mm

I took the Nikon 14-24mm out for a spin the other day:

A LR5 "Full correction" I've been doing this more and more and am finding the results pretty interesting

From this scene, you wouldn't even know that this was still Toronto:

Hi Mark, LR5 is better but still not quite as it should be AFAIC. I do like the new perspective correction processes but still can't 'get' why 90% of the time when I hit the AUTO TONE (exposure) button everything gets blown to hell. It may have something to do with the way I like to expose for the highlights.. I'm not sure but It sucks anyway. I'd also like better statistical analysis as well.. I would prefer not to have to create excel spreadsheets and glean numbers manually from LR for that purpose. I know there are other tools out there but they rely on jpeg files and I shoot RAW 100% of the time.

BTW, I love your landscape... genius as usual.

A really nice shot that TS. I always long for summer until it arrives and get burnt to a cinder. That scene looks as Idyllic as something a french impressionist or Constable would paint.

Cheers

Away for a week (Borneo for wildlife/birds) and just back checking the thread :

DCG - love the egg catch !
Jay - excellent football series.
Steve - great street shot of the two girls, your detractors on Facebook are just the typical OTT PC pervs. I do like the first crop from Jay though.
Simon - sweet baby shots, hope they have one without the turtle kit too though as in a few years tastes may change and au naturale never goes out of style
Mark - that cheap 50 did a great job ... or maybe it was the tog not the lens

Cheers guys - 16-35 f4 VR and the Lee 0.6 proglass ND. Might have been a 0.6 soft grad as well. No sleep for a bit when I was there and a bit of whisky as well...

One from a wee wander today with the rather cheap 50mm f1.8D
I particularly love this shot ! Well done you !!

Cheers Froggy but I believe that my shot has the right balance of intimacy and privacy and I'm keeping it that way.
