Great stuff Porga and Mark. Not up to the same standard but nicely topical today...

Me either and I got it for a smaller version of the 21mm for hiking and what-not.

The Df copes slightly better in my opinion but it is marginal. I'm not going to get hung up about it.

I haven't taken many with the Df and the 18 (even though it was bought for the Df) although for some weird reason this one using the two together last week in Glencoe is my most faved picture on Flickr.

That is a brilliant shot and I can see why it got so high on explore

Snowies like it cold. The shot below was taken at -45C during a recent trip to Inner Mongolia, the coldest it reached was -50C though we did have some 'mild' days as warm as -15/-20C too.

Hot breezy day...

An event at Hilltop park in Signal Hill.

Getting a lift.

The docks are having labor issues, causing a back-log of unloaded container ships.

Signal Hill is an old oil field, still going...

An oil-worker monument.

Sidewalk graffiti.

Hilltop park.

A new Ferrari.

Bench couple.

You can buy a brick.

WhoopPass Double IPA.
ABV: 8.5%
IBU's 85
HOPS: Hops: Columbus, Cascade
Silver City Brewery's description of this beer as their boldest and hoppiest mother of a brew ever would have you thinking you'd be reaching for that can of whoopass when your done.

I actually added the vignetting as otherwise it looked like daylight it was so bright. Bigger shadows at midnight than there had been during the day. Beautiful time for a wander and should really have gone for a proper walk and taken some different stuff.
I took another look at the photo some time later with less morning bleariness in my eyes and thought better of my original assessment of the vignetting. ;-)

Your point is well-taken; I've taken a lot of 20-30" exposures under near full moon conditions and people do often seem confused as to whether they're looking at a day-time or night-time shot!

Quite a nice sunset over my way this evening... Found myself down in Tacoma to shoot some pilings I haven't seen before and was quite surprised when the sky took to pink and red shortly after sundown. I have to say, I'm becoming a fan of Tacoma -- it has some nice waterfront parks and none of the crowds of Seattle. We also got to watch a mature bald eagle flit from piling to piling before being chased away by seagulls (the true arseholes of the sky).
