This thread is a FF thread.. not Nikon specific. It just seems like most of the regular contributors happen to have a Nikon, though there are a few who shoot Canon.

Also, the thread is part of the Non-Pentax section of the forum.. although it's a Pentax forum, some Pentaxians have other systems too or have moved away from Pentax but like the friendly atmosphere on this board and I think that's what this section caters to. Dunno what's sad about that..
This thread would, more than likely, not exist if Pentax had a FF DSLR. And I can't believe that you found all those excuses for this thread to exist.

If Pentax had a FF DSLR the autofocus and flash system would still probably be lagging behind its competitors..

Anyway I think it's kinda sad that you have to come into this thread and post these kind of spiteful, useless comments.

Back on topic, here's a photo with Sigma 100-300 f/4 and 1.4TC.. Works pretty well!

I have no idea where you think the spite was in my comments as I was not being spiteful, mistaken maybe, but not spiteful.

I like this thread actually and was only meaning that there would probably be less Nikon/Canon shots here if Pentax had a FF DSLR. But seeing that it isn't meant to be a Pentax thread anyway that's probably a wrong assumption of mine anyway.

Well, I don't think the thread is fundamentally not meant to be a Pentax thread. As you say, Pentax simply doesn't have a FF digital option. I'd certainly try to snag any Pentax FF dSLR that might come down the pipe at this point, though I doubt I'd give up my Nikon system to do it.

Yes, I'm trying to figure a way I can get a Nikon FF and 3 primes to get me started right now.

Looks promising. Hopefully it's on par with the Sony Zeiss Sonnar T* 135/1.8

Although FWIW, the hood from my 135/1.8 weights exactly the same as my 43/1.9 (w/hood). The 135/1.8 isn't exactly a small lens

Maybe I misinterpreted you.. my apologies!

I might have to sell my 50/1.8G and 85/1.8G if I do end up buying a 24-70.. let me know if you do get a Nikon FF!

My reasons, not excuses, were for why the Non-Pentax section of the forum exists.. not this particular thread.

I'm sure if Pentax ever came out with a FF camera, then it would also get its own section on the forum, alongside the K-5, K-r, etc..

Thanks for the apology and the offer but I think it will be some months before I manage to pile up enough money for a D800 or 5D Mk3.

Neither is my Sigma 70-200, but I'm more than fine to carry and use it when it's IQ is so spectacular.

Bah it's only money! I can see my line of credit taking a hit soon, you only live once.. and you sure can't take it with you when ya die. And if you do it right, debt doesn't get passed on.. so pass on cold hard cash and let the digital #"s suffer when it gets close to that time.

85 Nikkor f/1.8d

I will not be upgrading this 85mm. Only 1 of these shots stopped down past f/3.2--more shots wide open than anything else, &, of those, several shot @ night, through store-front glass.
