Thank you, Axl!

Yes, I use a number of programs.
Originally always LR. Then I added DxO Filmpack and most recently Silver Efex.
From this series, all of them are with Silver Efex exept the last one with DxO Filmpack and the 5th one just with LR.
Must say that my favourite tool is Silver Efex now. In combination with LR. I don't have Photoshop.

I have been shooting some film lately and just loving it too much. A couple of shots with zeiss ikon and planar 50/2 zm.

Dexmus, I really love your film shots! That Zeiss planar seems to be very sharp indeed. The colours and the feeling you get from the film is something you can never achieve with digital, IMHO. By the way, which film did you use for these shots?

Thanks quicksilver. The film was Kodak Ultramax 400.

Great shots Tom & Axl!

Axl, you may not realize it now, but in just a few short years you'll be incredibly happy you saved these moments, even more so than now. My oldest turns 5 this coming fall, and I can't believe all the little events I can't clearly remember now that were only a few years ago. I'm so very glad I shot & shot & shot...

Ive got my D800 ordered via several places and the money is burning a hole in my pocket! Im tempted just to get a D700!

Maybe I should just buy another Nikkor lens for the time being lol.

Every time I get the urge to buy another lens for my K5 I come here to hose down that idea and it's worked most of the time. D800 here costs heaps more here than in the US though (even though our dollar is higher) so it's a hard ask right now, especially when they want a down-payment and there's no guarantees about delivery times. Nikon apparently doesn't believe in world parity for prices (according to the camera store dude I spoke with today over the phone) so I might just take the plunge and sell off all my Pentax gear now rather than wait in hope of them releasing a FF next year.

Some tiny flowers from outside my hotel in Wiesbaden

Canon 5D mk III EF 100 L macro at f/10 1/100 ISO 1600

1/80 f/7.1 ISO 800

Back in Germany over the weekend, this time in Wiesbaden where we had wonderful weather and 30 degrees!

There is a stunning venue called the Kurhouse right in the middle of the city and either side of the Kurhouse were two collobnades, one is a casino, the other a row of shops.

Canon 5D mk III EF 24 - 70 at 24mm and f/11 1/40 ISO 250 converted in silver efex:

Inside the Kurhouse itself there was a sweet postcard box:

Canon 24 - 70L at 52mm and f/8 1/40 ISO 1250

Jay, that 180/2.8d is mighty tempting. Especially when you make it look so easy!
I've recently picked up the 70-200vrii and although it is easily the most amazing lens I've ever used, it is huge!
Was a guest at a wedding on the weekend(didn't take the 70-200.. Didn't want to look too pretentious!) and I couldn't stop thinking about how the 180 would have been perfect...
