I would imagine the 70-200 is quite a bit faster, the VR II is renowned for being one of the fastest AF lenses on the market.

Some shots with Zeiss 35 f2, no AF but a pleasure to play with: good bokeh wide open and razor sharp closed a bit.
very good colors, no big post processing is needed with this lens.

How does the AF speed of the 60-250mm compare to the nikon 70-200mm?
DA*60-250 has fast AF for mine and there's not alot of difference. I believe the DA*50-135 (at least the copy I have) is actually as good optically (or better) than the 70-200 VR2 as well. As Nikon Tele glass is so expensive I think it might be a wiser move on my part to keep my Pentax glass and buy either another K-5 (sold my previous 2) OR the K-5 replacement when it comes out. That was my original plan anyway.. the option of a used cheap 300/4 is still a good one though.. although no VR and I'm not so steady holding a camera.

This VR2 is astounding though.. I was able to hand hold shots at 200mm down to 1/13th sec and not see any shake.

The 50-135mm was a pretty good lens... Cheap too!

Luv the shotz.. great contrast ala Zeiss lenses and sunlight (which I haven't seen for sometime around here.. well, almost).

Today has been more or less a washout and tomorrow is looking like being very wet again. Here are some shots from yesterday and one or two from the day before.

Nice shots! Some of the nicest shots I have seen were done in less than ideal weather conditions.

Here are a few shots from the past few days.. I'm having issues with sharpness settings in PP work, sure is different than the K-5's PP work!

All of these are with the 24-120 VR f3.5 - 5.6
The third one is a 4 shot Pano.

Nice shots mate.

I'm laid up with a lousy flu after being OOA for 3 week with an injured back. It seems like I'll never be shooting anything but brick walls and road signs at this rate.

easier to find something to macro shoot around the house than to think of new exciting ways of shooting bricks and signs!
