Amazing shots - I love using silver efex. In fact I find all the Nik plug ins to be excellent. Let's hope that Google doesn't ruin it.
Amen to that. Few things are game changers to me...and Silver Efex has totally redone the way I convert to b&w. It's an incredible plugin and has been worth every cent. I like those b&w conversions you did. Subtle, not too contrasty or in your face. And it works.

Speaking Silver Efex, here's a photo I shot back in March with my 5DII 17-40 and converted with Silver Efex today (HDR).

All you guys put me to shame.

I sold another lens today.. only two left as I am keeping the FA77 for now.

This week has been 'slow' for the sales dept.

Great stuff again. Took these last night and processed on laptop in hotel room. Bit of potential for some when I get home and do them on the big screen.

Do you have any of this subject that show the words complete?

Good question...no, I don't. Do you feel that would add to the image? (though it is a challenge to fit it in the frame and keep the perspective).

I am always looking for c&c. Fortunately, this memorial isn't far and I can reshoot pretty easily.

c&c?

There's nothing wrong with that picture but I thought the words may have added an extra dimension beyond the form itself.

Cheers

PS: As a trained painter I generally find pictures of ideas more interesting that forms alone but visual communication is wide and varied and there's no limits really.

I appreciate the input as it has me thinking about exactly what I want to convey--which I honestly did not really think too much about when I ran across the bell. In the immediate, it was about capturing the form. I should at least go take another look.

That cloud (and shot) is very impressive .. and ominous, did anyone inform the residents they should run for their lives before it's too late

Personally I think I'd take a tad off the bottom and PP out that star (or distant planes lights) too.
