I've been ill with an horrendous gastric infection for 3 days.. never had anything remotely like it in all my life. I swear I've lost at least 5kg in the process too. I won't go into deatils but suffice to say I had The Doors Riders On the Storm in my head for awhile there. I'm still feeling light headed and a bit giddy so I won't be partaking of any Xmas festivities this year methinks.

I retrieved my K-5 and DA*200 from the local camera store today as they've had it for two months and only sold the 50-135. I may end up keeping it and buying a couple of used primes for it. I'd forgotten just how light it is, something I could walk around all day with and barely notice, unlike the Nikon.
Must be the time of year for this kind of thing. I got food poisoning from McDonalds at the start of last week. May I suggest Hydrolyte to help get you back up an' at 'em, the stuff does wonders.

Cheers, you are the second person to say that. Also, I'm sorry to hear that you were also sick mate. Some friends and I went to a pub on Thursday and at least one other got a similar illness so it might be source. I'm OK now apart from having no strength and a dull headache.

I've been pumping mineral water into myself but I fear it's too late with tomorrow being Xmas for finding any meds.

He's an expert at giving the hard done by look but he's thoroughly spoilt. I hope you feel better soon Steve and that you recover enough to have a great christmas. I hope you have a better 2013 for health and that you are able to get out there more.

In that vein, Happy Christmas and Happy shooting in 2013 to everyone on this thread.

In England there is no snow (as usually this time of the year) but plenty of rain (too much and causing floods here and there).
So here is English winter classic:

Merry Christmas guys!

A couple recent shots,

My son loves music so one of his presents this year was his own mp3 player.

Hope you all had a good Christmas day

Am looking through my hard discs and reprocessed some shots taken a few years ago:

1. Canon 5D mk II EF 24 -70 at 30mm f/16 1/80 ISO 100

2. converted in Silver efex

3. Further up Rossett Pike:

25mm f/16 1/125 ISO 125

4. converted in Silver efex

5. I did an event for Australian electric group of companies NARTA on a cruiseship and cruised across from Hvar off the Croatian coast to Venice.

EF 24 - 70 at 24mm 30 sec f/14 ISO 160 - reduced saturation in CS6

6. We had this sunset as we cruised over the Adriatic although I'm not exactly sure why I was shooting at f/20 and ISO 50...

70 - 200L IS 2.8 at f/20 110mm 1/20 ISO 50
