did you push this one in PP?
Seems rather noisy for ISO 800, or is it just me?

Yup I pushed it. I underexposed it pretty bad. There's no lights on the drummer in the venue either so hard to get a naturally lit shot.

Great viewpoint, I rarely think about canting the camera over and playing with perspective like this. Very nicely done

Not much to add here, had a short break recently and took just a m4/3 camera, which I think paired with the D700 will ultimately spell the end of the line for my remaining Pentax gems.

Assorted bits from the last few months, all with the old Sigma 70-200/2.8 (non OS, non DG)

Drove out to Ribblehead today from the Lakes. Passed this way a while back with a friend driving, and knew I would want to return to photograph the viaduct.

Haven't posted in a while as I've been having a pretty busy summer. Managed to go to Chicago for a few days recently.. here's one of my favourites from the trip:

D700 + 24-70

It's the north view from the John Hancock Center observatory where you can see part of the city along with Lake Michigan.
