Down through the Langdales today - not a photographic tour, just taking my Mum out for a run as she is staying with us for a few days.

I was sorry to hear of your daughters illness.

A stitch of three from me with the 60mm - I think I prefer the single frame - the bigger picture loses something.

Went down to a different part of Mumbles this afternoon. Didn't stay as long as it was too windy for a tripod.

All with Nikon D800E

Nikkor 24 - 70

Nikkor 14 - 24

Carl Zeiss 35 f/2

Me too. Cracking wee set.
Thanks guys -- those dogs are goofballs and a lot of fun to shoot. I'll probably get another round with them in the near future.

Mark, that is some amazing light you captured moving through the forest. I've never been able to capture a forest scene with the kind of depth you have in these shots; well seen.

It didn't feel like November in the north of the UK yesterday, beautiful sunshine for the annual remembrance service.

That 165mm is a "portrait" focal length and a leaf shutter lens. Here is a practice portrait shot using that setup take some years ago. I still get a kick out shooting that old gear.
Wonderful feeling of a 30s/40s shot !

Thanks. Yes, I draw inspiration from Clarence Bull. An old Hollywood photographer in that time period.

Love the color shot of your nephew sitting in the leaves, axl.

When I can't get out to take shots, I revert to practicing some indoor stuff.
Great lighting in this -- the golds carry through and give this a nice, wholesome vintage feel. Makes me have fuzzy thoughts about my old Takumars, wherever they are.

One of my good friends lives in Connecticut, but his fiancee is now here in Seattle. Long story short, I was asked at very short notice to do some engagement photos for them while he was in town visiting this past weekend. I haven't done this sort of thing before, so it was an interesting experience. Here are a few grabs from the shoot:

The bride-to-be wanted some fall color shots to match her red saree. It was a bit late in the season and gloomy on Saturday for that, but we got a few. Just posting the B&W though. :-)

A few days ago, I was in the pretty town of Bewdley in Worcestershire. Pity I didn't up the ISO to 1600 to get the swan sharp:

I took this one in the knowledge that I would crop it to 4:3 in post:

Thanks. I've shot some of my Super Taks on my mirrorless. Not bad and fun to take them for a spin now and then.
