These 3 buildings are at one end of Grand Park (above) with City Hall (above) at the other end.

Disney Concert Hall. If you get in the focus of a curve the sun will really heat you up. The aluminum was changed from highly-reflective to satin-finish after neighbors complained.

The Music Center is made up of...

The Mark Taper Forum, and...

The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

My first shoot at Mumbles by the sea with the A7R and the Sony/Zeiss 24 - 70...

1.

2.

3.

4.

5. These two shots show me what I love about the calibre of the Sony sensors at the moment. This one I pushed nearly 3 stops of exposure and also quite a lot from the shadows too

6. This one I pushed 3.5 stops and +100 on shadows:

Arrived in the Lake District as the sun was about to set. Didn't have time to get to a better location closer to the water so set up quickly at a viewpoint on the edge of the town of Windermere.

Sony A7R Sony/Zeiss A7R Lee GND Soft 0.9 + 0.6 plus Lee landscape CP

Sony A7R Sony/Zeiss 24 - 70 accidentally left ISO at 800, but no penalty for it.

Sony/Zeiss 16 - 35

A curves adjustment layer on this quite contrasty shot with the 16 - 35

Two shots from this evening. It's quite unusual to get a fairly new moon setting in this position at twilight over Elterwater and the River Brathay

Thanks!

I took an electric powered boat out on to Windermere today - managed to get grounded so had to wait to be rescued by the lake warden. I took this while I was waiting.

Sony A7R 24 - 70

Very nice shots IHII.

Do you still use the D800 or have you sold the Nikon stuff?

I must say that I love the contrast and colour in these Sony shots.

I still have the 14-24 the 300 f/4 and the 200 micro, but the Nikon cameras have gone. This camera is truly portable while keeping the quality really high. There is sometimes some shutter shock when on a tripod, but it isn't every shot, and I find that if I do a three burst I'm pretty much guaranteed not to have shuttershock. Just need to work out how to get bulb setting to work as it doesn't allow me to select it in manual even if I do have a remote attached.

The tone is definitely different to the Nikon, but I do like what it's doing.

Thanks for the reply. I'll be selling some Nikon stuff in the near future although I'll probably keep the D810 for now.
