For what it's worth, I tried a NEX-5 and discovered that contrast AF isn't worth the electrons it lives on. At least for capturing pictures of a moving subject.

Good catch. Yes, this is probably
not a camera for shooting action.
Of course most of us will use it for other purposes. By the way, based on the brochure they have implemented a Leica-style trick for improving light collection near the sensor edge. They claim a substantial benefit vis-a-vis the standard (non-customized) sensor.
My guess is that this will be a pricey camera. I predict that it will be more widely praised than purchased.
I really hope that I am wrong and that it sells like hotcakes. I would love to see other camera makers come out with competing designs.
I can't wait for this to hit the market.
