Anybody knows what kind is this Rikenon 35mm f/2.8? It is not m42...

WIDE RIKENON 1:2.8 f = 35mm 13434 LENS With Case - eBay (item 400161856529 end time Oct-17-10 19:00:42 PDT)

I have the same lens, no aperture ring and the thread of the mount is about 28-30mm. Never been able to figure out what exactly is for!?
I thought at first that it is C mount (25.4mm), but the diameter is bigger...

It could be for the Ricoh 126C-Flex, which had a proprietary mount:

What Chris said...

The TLS 126C-Flex used 126 cartridge (Instamatic) film and featured a weird lens setup. The camera had a leaf shutter SLR configuration similar to the Kowa SET-R (a contemporary 35mm camera) and IIRC had one or more lens elements mounted in the body behind the shutter. The "interchangeable" lenses screwed onto the front of the shutter assembly to complete the optical system. It was sort of a cool system in that it would sync flash at all shutter speeds, had auto exposure + manual, and used flashcubes!

So, the short answer is that your lens will only work with a camera that is solely of interest to collectors, though it may be a collector's item itself!

Steve

P.S. Notice the manual aperture setting dial on the FRONT OF THE CAMERA! The shutter speed ring was on the base of the lens mount.

Better hurry. 126 film is no longer being produced, and supplies are getting scarce...
